Buying gold in Geneva.
Buy physical gold at Helvetica Exchange, Rue Pierre-Fatio 19, 1204 Geneva (Rive district) — the displayed gold price follows the live market, no separate commission. Monday–Friday 08:30–18:30, Saturday 09:00–17:00. Reserve and your rate is held for 3 hours during opening hours; ID from the LBA thresholds.
Buying gold here is deliberately simple. The price follows the live spot market and is displayed at the counter; the pieces are LBMA-certified — PAMP, Valcambi, Argor-Heraeus — 999.9 fine gold, sealed in their assay blister with certificate. Never open the seal: it carries the piece's identity. Bars run from 10 g to 1 kg; the classic coins (Vreneli, Napoléon, Sovereign, Krugerrand, Maple Leaf) offer smaller, liquid steps. In Switzerland, investment gold is exempt from VAT — what you see is what you pay. Collect at the counter, or have your order delivered within 24 to 48 hours, sealed certificate enclosed. For substantial purchases, the private lounge receives you by appointment.

Questions.
Which sizes should I start with?
Coins and small bars (10–100 g) stay the most liquid to resell piece by piece; the kilogram optimises the premium. Many clients blend both.
Is VAT due on gold?
No — investment gold (bars 999.9, listed coins) is VAT-exempt in Switzerland. The displayed price is the full price.
